I want to try my hand at making an internet game and have visual basic 6. I'm wondering if there are maybe some sites or such that offer advice on making the game in the sense of thinking it up and what things need to be taken into consideration and also if their are any sites that are specialy dedicated to showing how to do it in visual basic. I have some visual basic experience from my class in high school and was pretty goo at learning and applying it. I have no doubt that if given the right help tools that I can learn more of it. Thanks for all the help. |

Visual Basic is easy to use and learn, but if you want to do something that's played online you'll probably want to use java, javascript, or flash. (depends on what you mean by 'internet game' too, of course) |

I wanted something like runescape except I planned on making it a better game. Got a lot rattling around in my head about it as is. |

Uh. Good luck :P That's quite a project; realisticly, graphics alone could be enough to make that way too hard, not to mention the online aspects. I highly doubt you'll have much sucess trying something like that with so little experience, especially by yourself. Start with single-player projects for now and expand from there. |

Ya after thinking about it it'll probably be easier making something like ADOM. And making single player will make it a lot easier to do it like I want. But all I got is visual basic. If anyone knows any guides that center around making it a game roguelike game in visual basic then please let me know. |
