I've noticed a while back that if I use the three-finger salute to close ADOM without actually quitting it, I can't open it again the next time I want to play it. It'll gimme a DOS-style window with an error message in it (didn't write said message down at the time.) Naturally, this is easily rectified by just unzipping the game again from it's .zip file and copy/pasting any good chars, but I wondered if anyone else has had this happen to 'em. And ctrl+alt+delete doesn't mess up any of my other programs, by the by. Hobgoblins taste like chicken! |

Doesn't it say to remove adom.prc in the error message? Not to make you feel bad or anything. The following is a real Adom message: The homunculus hits you. You suddenly fall asleep! Do you want to continue to read the spellbook of Calm Monster? [y/N] |

Why use the "three finger salute" at all? What's wrong with saving/quitting? http://tankefel.blogspot.com/ So far you have only killed one wild cat. |
