luck? I was aware of the possibility so I always avoided eating cursed cookies ... just in case. Was it my paranoid or is it true that the blessed ones increase luck and vice versa? |

Almost certain they don't, let's see... Nope, no effect at all on anything ;) They do give different messages when eating if your learning is less than 5... :) |

I have always wondered why gnolls drop so many fortune cookies. You know you've played too much ADOM when you try to throw coins at people wearing similar clothes as yourself. |

Chance. You've seen a pattern where non exsist, just like how it feels like kobolds drop more clothes than anything else to me, but they actually don't. |

I wonder if it is chance. I've cleared a fair number of gnoll vaults and I always end up with 10+ cookies. Ratling fencers have a tendency to drop gauntlets, dwarves a tendency to drop pick axes, couldn't it be the same with gnolls and cookies? You know you've played too much ADOM when you try to throw coins at people wearing similar clothes as yourself. |

"Ratling fencers have a tendency to drop gauntlets, dwarves a tendency to drop pick axes, couldn't it be the same with gnolls and cookies? " Ratling fencers are guaranteed to drop gauntlets. And dwarves may drop pick-axes. But gnolls dropping fortune cookies? Fortune cookies aren't very rare after all, so it might be only chance. The rust monster touches your blessed Trident of the Red Rooster. Nothing happens. You laugh at the monster's pitiful attempt. |

Yeah, 10+ sounds like an insane number, but it's definately not the gnolls. Here's a list of all the monster-specific drops: http://adom.falldowngoboom.org/wiki/index.php/Monster-specific_Drops |

What about vault drops? Don't you get other drops than normal when clearing a vault? Mabye fortune cookies are more likely to drop in vaults. And since the one guaranteed vault often has gnolls in it, mabye thats why they seem to drop more of them. (Gnolls arent found as much as orcs outside that vault...) |

Iridia: I moved the wiki back to the main directory, so remove the '/wiki/' -- but note also the entire wiki may be going down soon. I highly doubt there is a special increased chance at fortune cookies in vaults, but I suppose it's possible. Only think I know of are the guaranteed artifacts and gold in greater vaults. |
