I do.

I had actually hoped it'd come earlier, but complaining doesn't help :(

Not buying it... I'll only read it once, after all; so my money's better spent elsewhere. Like most new books, I wait until the library has it to read it.

I'll most likely get it as a gift, or have a relative of mine buy the book then give it to me or my mother to read. She likes the books as well. Im really glad the J.K rowlings or whatever the authors name is decided to curve the series into something more dark, It does well as a kids book, but adults can now read the series and get some enjoyment out of it as well.

I was going to buy Chainfire and the previous book in the Sword of Truth series, but after reading the reviews i've decided not to. Seems the author only uses the book as a media to preach to his readers, not enough action or story development in the books anymore to warrant that.

"Half-bloods" are persons/beings whose parents are of different races. For example,

Spoiler
Hagrid is half-blood -- half human (father) and half-giant (mother). That explains his unnatural dimensions. AFAIK, the half-blood prince is partly some kind of feline.

As for bying the book, it'll appear on warez sites much sooner than in book-stores where I live. :(

I thought half blood was also people who have one magical parent and one non-magical parent.

Dependable. I think half-blood refer to third person/people that have a parent the same race as the speaker. So we call all human-something half-blood, an orc call all orc-something half-blood.

Putting it in the perspective of RPG games, some of the most common halfblood races in existence for MUDs or MMORPGS :

Halfelf (Human/Elf)
HalfGiant (Human/Giant)
HalfOrc (Human/Orc, Dwarf/Orc, Kobold/Orc)
Mul (Human/Dwarf)
Aludemons/Cambions (Human/Demon)
HalfTroll (Human/Troll, Orc/Troll)

I'm not sure that you have to be an elf or a human to call a halfelf a halfblood... but in terms of harry potter

Spoiler
One Magical parent and one nonmagical parent is called a Mudblood, IIRC. Halfblood refers to the mixing of races, such as Hagrid being a Halfgiant. Then again, i don't know for sure, i havent really read the books with extreme care. I enjoyed them.. but not enough to reread.

If memory serve me well:

As long as at least of you parent is nonmagical - you are mud-blood.

As long as you are a mix of race, you are a halfblood.

you who have read the book, were you surprised? (those who have read the book will know what I mean)

I wasn't really surprised, I had figured one of the things out right in the beginning of the book, and the second one a bit later.

I was very surprised. I love the series, but in this book, nothing happens for the first 400 pages, and then way too much happens in the last 100 pages.

She has a lot of work to do to tie this all together in the last book.

yup, 6 horcruxes in one book?! I just hope it has well over 700 pages. I'd probably die of happiness if it had over 1000 pages..

I'm sorry, I forgot to state beforehand that I found HP lengthy and boring. If that was not for the sake of my younger sis (who couldnt read English as well as I do), I wouldnt touch the book *sign*. Dont flame me, please.

Whoa, harry potter part six already came out? At least not in Finland, yet. I haven't even read the fifth part yet and never will... I started reading the English version and liked it but now I've lost my interest to HP. It's definitely a great series of books, though!

Just read it... it seems to me like the author is suffering from burnout.
