Pretty sure that you can't change an artifact. The better an item the harder it is to improve. In my experience you are likely to waste a scroll or protection on eternium plate (for example), whilst you can easily use a number of blessed scrolls of defence on it. That all that I think I know. with that eternium stuff iīm sure that it works.. (improved e-plate mails, e-tower shields (with dv and pv) and large e-hammers, etc. already.) sometimes it works - sometimes not (more often "not"..) but artifacts??? (until now "never") -H- """""""""""""""" " SPELL IT " """""""""""""""" |

the answer is *cough* NEVER!!!!!!!! thank you... :D only thing that can happen to artifacts is sacing, a ratling eating them, one can explode,pluging holes, or trade them. i think that covers it |

You can shatter the phial by kicking it! You can "Destroy" the potion of literacy by drinking it :) Not sure if metallic artifacts can still be destroyed by melting them down as a smith, when lumped with other metallic items |
