Wyrmlance is useless. Rune covered trident is guarunteed, and a superior weapon. 1. Bracers of War 2. Vanquisher 3. Executor 4. Preserver 5. Protector 6. Ring of Immunity 7. Nature's Companion Skills: 1. Herbalism 2. Food Preservation 3. Alertness 4. Concentration 5. Healing 6. Pick Pockets 7. Athletics Ive never found myself using first aid from mid-late game. It only helps marginally with survival early game, in the rare cases that i find myself bleeding. Later on in the game, blood loss doesnt really claim much HP. And even so, its more worthwhile i drink a potion or cast a heal spell than to use an action to first aid. |

Wyrmlance seems to cause a lot of debate. I like it but must agree that its dragon slaying properties are pathetic. Lord Frederick's post elsewhere has reminded me that the one time I used the Rune Covered Trident for any appreciable length of time - in a greater undead vault - I had a LOT of fun with it. 1: The Silver Key 2: Bracers of War 3: Ironfist 4: Rune Covered Trident 5: Protector (makes up for the less fun caused by not using a two hander) 6: Sun's Messenger 7: Preserver First aid keeps a lot of my early-mid level characters alive, especially when I'm poisoned. Over the entire game it may be weak, but getting to the point at which I can safely stop using it requires its use. However, this is a list of my favourite skills (as specified in the title) so first aid will be one of the most important skills not to make the list. 1: Pick Locks 2: Herbalism 3: Alertness 4: Stealth & Backstabbing (in combination) 6: Concentration 7: Literacy |

Literacy Off topic...I had an orc barb with vanquisher, and BoW...The really nice thing is that shields, bracers, rings and amulets dont count as worn equipment...So I was able to do some true berserking with Vanq and BoW. Notice the "was" in the last statement...Vanq and BoW often cause some kind of immortality complex that gets many of my orc barbs killed. It seems a little strange that I often get vanquisher with my barbs...some people never seem to get it though...its my boon and bane. |

Looks like BoW are winning hands down in the artifact section. Im interested to see that there is such a huge variety in peoples value of different skills too. |
