"You feel an inner uproar! You feel the anger of order brewing... but you seem to be protected buy the benevolence of Morodwyn" I recieved this message while playing as a level 13 Dwarven priest. I was going back down the CoC again, having gone back up for the arena and on D:9 I found a tome, and after a little while longer a got that message. I then checked my inventory to see if anything was different and I found that the tome had been identified as a Tract of Chaos. I'm wondering if that was the only effect? |

It's the message you get when reading a tract of chaos when not being chaotic. I don't think you get anything from that, since "you seem to be protected buy the benevolence of Morodwyn". A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

Why'd I get a similar message for reading a tract of chaos while C-? The god of order got pissed off and sent holy slayers, then was about to do something else, but I was protected by the benevolence of Ni'Pregh. |

didn't you memorize the guidebook yet? you have a piety relationship not only with the god you worship - your "L piety level" was low enough to cause summoning/bolting after lowering it even more. I use the guidebook, but only the appendices. If I'm not feeling lazy, I'll also use this for character creation. |
