Ogre armies appear in plains hills and forest.
Also, IIRC they appear pretty frequently on the road past the pyramid.

Along with various chaos beings. Be careful on that road!

At level 32 you should pretty much be able to handle everything found on that road

There is no such thing as guaranteed survival in ADOM, not even at lvl 32.

There is.
A one-time guaranteed survival.
Being born in the month of Falcon, that is. :)

I know that there is a possibility to die on the road even at lvl 32, but it's not very likely (atleast not for me)

Death-on-the-road?
From starvation - maybe. But just in case you don't meet anything meaty.
Deaths in the wilderness end by the time a player can wack Jackalwere, Wandering Black Dragon, and 10 Giant Frogs. One must be quite fraile to perish from hill orcs, hill giants or that black wizards. In fact, wilderness encounters are not aimed at killing a player - having a decent speed, source of invis, teleportation can grant exit from the toughest situations.

Nevertheless, i find myself recieving the "You die..." message every now and then when crossing that wilderness... It must be the RNG-AI that likes to send me hordes and hordes of Chaos Brothers and Sisters every time i take an outdoor stroll.

oh well ogre armies for my bard are way to infrequent for me to try that path, it would be much quicker to scum the dragon cames for ingredients and potions of atributes then the ring of weakness path

If you have food preservation I'd hike to the mountains. You'll hit plenty of Stone Giant parties up there if doomed. That got me to 99 pretty quick.
