I have been playing the game for a long time, and I have never beat the game. In fact, I have never gotten a character past level 22, and rarley make it past level 15. I never savescum, and I never look at spoilers or the guidbook. (although I have heard a few spoily things). Will I ever beat the game without looking at the guidebook? It really seems imposible to me. Do people really beat the game figuring everything out for themselves and not looking at spoilers? two days ago my level 20 drakish fighter ate a gorgon corpse... :( |

Many of us were savescummers back in the day. If you manage to beat the game without spoilers or any abuse, Amazing, i applaud you. I've personally never done so, as i used to think savescumming was great when i first started playing. My first non-savescummed win came after reading the guidebook. Even so, ADOM still is able to remain fairly challenging, even when spoiled :) |

lol, I haven't finished t3h game either. most people expect to be able to finish a game they buy/get. ADOM is one of those games where the skillfull finish it. You die... |

Yeah! No spoilers and no savescumming is the only way to play! You just have to watch what you read on this forum :D Of course I've been spoiled a bit, but the point is to avoid it as much as possible. It makes ADOM all the more fun, if a bit frustrating at times. Another thing that rules is playing ADOM with two people. After you try that, a single player game just can't compare. You feel a lot more tension if you're about to kill somebody else's hero. Whatever this is, it's not a good reason not to have a drink. |

ADOM doesn't support multiplay. Just get with a friend, put on some Rhapsody music and play away, taking turns at the keybord. A lot of backseat driving occurs, but it just adds to the fun. Whatever this is, it's not a good reason not to have a drink. |

yeah, me and my brother do that. switching off every experience level works well. or if you have two computers, both start a char at the same time and see who gets to a certain level first. |
