ive played adom on and off for a while now, but i rarely get much further than dwarftown. and when i do get a character that far, i say yes when i'm offered a memorial file. but my question is, what are these and where do i find them? theres nothig in the savegame or tmpdat folders, and nothing new anywhere in the adom folder |

When you say yes it should make a [character name].flg in the Adom folder. Now open up a text editing program thingy like Word and press load and the select the .flg. Now it should load up so that you can read it. By the way if you find the game too hard, check out the guidebook at www.andywlms.com/adom/ I have played ADOM for almost 4 (?) years now but I have never, never beat the game. And I have read almost all of the spoilers. I will not quit until I win! |

thanks for the help. for some reason all my .flgs were being put way down in ...localSettings/Temp but since you told me what to look for, searching for them was easy :) |

Speaking of memorial files, is there a reason why the files don't always agree on the final score with the hall of fame? May thy wisdom be omnipresent. |

No, he does not mean that, logocally or linguistically. NOT QUIT UNTIL win does not imply QUIT WHEN win. It is simply an assurance that he will not quit for no reason whatsoever until he wins. After a win he is free to quit at his own behest. Or keep playing. QED. |
