Just a little post. In my current game, my PC talked to the DRatling just for fun, and he said "Ugh, me's so hungry." Now, I don't like the ratling, so I fed him a cursed stomacemptia herb, and he appreciated it. Dumb idiot.

I remember feeding a LargeBat corpse to MasterThief in Holeinthewall. He also told something like 'Oh, me's so hungry'.
The most curious thing is despite he 'snached' it, as message stated, corpse appeared to be lying on the ground below him when I left the room (e.g. thief's figure disappeared from line of sight, leaving a % of ex-bat).

He stood over it. How could I? Killing a potentially usefull teacher is beyond me.
Besides, % rotted away after a while.
Or mayhap he really ate it? :)

No, DR didn't die. I wish he did. Would have been funny.
"The demented ratling snatches the cursed stomacemptia herb and wolfs it down. The demented ratling's eyes go wide as he clutches his stomach. The demented ratling rasps "Oh sh-". The demented ratling implodes. Congradulations! You have reached level 21!"

NPCs don't suffer any side effects of food - I once fed a gorgon corpse to a beggar, and he was very happy about it.
Stomaceptia, demon daisy and devi's rose herbs are a good thing to give to the beggars.
A pessimist sees a dark tunnel.
An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel.
A realist sees a train.
And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks.

I remember hearing that the amount of lawful boost you get from feeding beggars depends on the satiation value of the food. What does that mean if you're using stomacemptia?

It means nothing - all herbs have the same satiation value, stomaceptia has a special effect that changes the satiation value, and it does not affect NPCs
