Me be great student of der National University! me hast no school :) But on the first of September... :-\ Grrr...

I'm getting weary after three years. If they don't start something interesting, I'll start skipping lections.

BTW, Echo, my wisdom says: One who recalls school years as best in his life has chosen a wrong university. So, don't panic - school fuss will pass. And please, when time comes choose wisely.

Actually I'm not that young, 14, 15 in like a month. I'm currently on 9th grade and that's a very important year 'cos you must make decisions.

But that's another story.

I know that you are around that age already because you mentioned it. The refreshing thinge here means that you reminded me of the time I kept thinking how I hate schooling.

I mean that what can be called 'final decision' I made at the beginning of 10th grade.
And the 'final-final decision' - after attainment test.

Nchurmdaz: I don't know Echo's nationality, but at least here in Sweden (and perhaps in other countries) you must choose which kind of school you want to attend after the mandatory first nine years. The choice is between two kinds of pre-university schooling: either a direct labour education (ie. one that let's you stride right out into the big world of the working man directly after it's completion) or a kind of preparation for university studies. Both of them consumes three yours of you youth, and if you consider an university exam, there goes three to six additional years.

But, since it's free up to university level, who am i to complain?

Oh, my first day is next friday. Goddamn pre-university schooling, move on so that I can begin to study for real!

Sargoth, Echo is from Finland and I guess his education system is the same as yours, or very similar.

BTW - 9th grade? Here, in Poland we once had to choose the pre-university school at 8th grade, and now, thanks to our oh-so-great goverment we have 4 levels of education, which means exams and school changing after the 6th, 9th and 12th grade.
Damn them! I didn't vote for them! Why must I suffer for their stupidity?!
But at least they didn't ruin the free education system, we just have to pay a little for the "exams" (which usually don't exist, but you still pay the exam-fee :P It's 80-85 pln, that's about 25$), and then it's free university-level education.

There's no pre-university system in my country (Vietnam) but if you dont join the classes that are focused for it (Almost none existance literature classes for me, for instant) quite likely you cant make it to a decent university.

Oh, and the system here change every year, by the way. 1 year before mine, universities carry out their own their own entrance exams. You can attend all of them, if you have the time (and money :) Now we have national exams and you have to choose 1 university/college/whatever each year only. So you could actually get 8/10 for all the tests and still fail O.o

Four days for me. I can't wait... I'm so tired of living in my stupid rented room with no air conditioning. Dorms (still with no air conditioning, but at least they don't have ants and mice) are much nicer.

No pun intended, but I never have ants and mice at my place. At least, not while I'm living there. No air-conditioning as well >.<
