with durable magic, stun ray duration can easily reach 70+ turns. and stun is stackable. extended magic is also helpful here for fun. although dangerous monsters(orb guardians, kherod) usually shrug them off, there's still a decent chance of them being affected. simply get them into a line of 2-3 squares blocked by walls and repeatedly blast them with stun ray on coward. stun them as much as you want. if they hit you with a corrupting attack and piss you off you can stun them even more. once they have collected hundreds of turns of stunning, you can take your time hacking/blasting away at them. have fun stunning! |

IMHO, trying to stun them orb guardians in this way is just wasting of precious battle turns. Just have high WI and blast them with WoPar |
