actually the Highscore list means nothing...ths .cnt file must have recorded 100 killed pc's. quitting does not help. I have been able to enter the Bug Temple with only 5 entries in the HS list |

Cool...I have had to reinstall ADOM recently...I will try that. It sure beats starving 100 characters in teh wilderness! |

so strange. i had died many times but .cnt file content was not incremented... I have tried to falsify .cnt file just by placing lager numbers in its integer - it did not help. |

I don't think it's dying so much as the number of created characters. Also remember than any character generated BEFORE the temple is unlocked can never enter, only characters created afterwards can do that (the game only check the cnt count when you generate a character, after that it just check the savefile, so nothing short of a savefile hack can unlock the timple for that character (works in reserve too, so an old character can still enter even if you reinstall ADOM)). Editing the .cnt file works, but you have to remember that the file contains a binary integer value, not plain text. Jan Erik Mydland HoF admin |
