Ok, I'm trying to do the bug temple with my gnomish weaponsmith who's got a defense of about 120/50 on coward. But the blasted things are still hitting me! Is it -possible- to have a defense high enough that they -won't- hit me? Or there some special part of the claw/killer bug critical thing that makes it easier for them? |

Aren't clawbugs able to ignore DV? Or is that PV? They ignore something. -Amanda Sedai, a save-scumming newbie. (Hey, at least I saved that little girl's dog. Gimme some credit... ;-)) |

They definitely ignore PV (the part that usually gets subtracted from succesful damage rolls). I'm wondering about the DV. Granted at 120 DV I'm getting hit noticeably less, but it's still enough :( |

There's always a chance for monsters to hit you, no matter how high DV you have. The chance ain't so big of course, but since those bugs have so many attacks per round... Better go in there invisible with means to attack 'em from a distance methinks. Locke Cole |
