What's the difference between trolls and orcs? I've never played an orc before, but judging from the NPC orcs they seem weak. -Amanda Sedai, a save-scumming newbie. (Hey, at least I saved that little girl's dog. Gimme some credit... ;-)) |

On Contraire Orc are quite strong and beefy.They arent like the NPC's at all. If you dont believe me try an orcish priest.They rule. Personally I prefer trolls. THE MESSIAH,I'm here now,Worship me. |

I'll have to give it a try once I finish with the high elven wizard that I'm playing right now. I wonder why Thomas would make the npc orcs so weak? The npc trolls aren't too bad. But are there any real differences between PC trolls and orcs? I would guess orcs don't heal as fast. Anything else? -Amanda Sedai, a save-scumming newbie. Well, they aren't THAT strong and tough, but also aren't THAT dumb and ugly, and don't heal as fast, or regenerate mana so slow, and AFAIK are gain xp lvls quicker. But, they are equally chaotic in the beginning =) Still that's about the only characteristic they share totally. If something can go wrong, it will. |

they also get better EQ. (orcs do) where a troll would get a big club and a skin, an orc would get some studded leather armor, a spear, boots, maybe even a helmet. |

The only problem with orcish priests is that although they start of dual wieldin weapons they dont always have two weapon comat skill. |

Orcish paladins also get that everburning torch, *ha* hows this for a long, boring challenge, be orc priest/paladin with the Evertorch, go to gremlin caves, stay till level 50. sounds very, very....dull. |

I'm almost never an Orc. They have poor eyesight, and low Intelligence. If I want a stron race, I be either a Troll, Dwarf, or Drakeling. Orcs seen like 'lesser Trolls' to me. But that's just what I think. My favorite race are actualy Drakelings and High Elves.... |
