<Im putting this in here cause i think its fairly well know about the SMC having decent "drops".> What cool stuff has everyone had "drop" / have found in the SMC? Amanda mentioned an eternium Two-Handed sword. I've found a mithril girdle of carrying (i think that was the specific name), some arrows of undead slaying, and some really potent axe, which had very high dmg, forget the 'name' though, was right when 1.0.0.0 came out. -Peace Out, War In -Jacknife |

mithril girdle of carrying? I diden't know that girdles of carrying could be of high metals... Anyways, I've had eternium twohanded swords dropped in there too along with cloaks of invisibility, girdles of giant strengh and the like the few times I have been able to explore the entire level. I've had the Glaive "long sting" lying around and couple times quicksilver quarterstaves. Couple Halberds of defense, couple two handed swords of parrying and stuff like that. As of 1.0.0 the SMC always holds a apecial item.In g16pr2 the two handed swords were quite common.But the rest were rare. Crimson you found an artifact lyin round jus like that.I find that hard to believe.No named gaurdian? THE MESSIAH,I'm here now,Worship me. |

I seem to recall finding a eternium two-handed sword of parrying in there once, now THAT rocked... A few versions back I seemed to find the scorched spear about every second time I explored the place and I have found the long sting a couple of times too, if the "special item" in the SMC is generated as an artefact there won't be anyone guarding it. Guess it's a special case. All in all it is quite likely to find something special in there, usualy a ego item of some sort these days. Locke: That was probably a mithirl girdle with the "of carrying" prefix. I've seen clothes of carrying and such. Such ego items aren't narly as good as the real thing though. I would rather find an Eternium two-handed sword from the SMC than Long sting so it doesn't have to have guardian... or I think so. But I've never found girdles with suffixes or prefixes... Armors, Weapons and Missiles are the only ones which has them. So mithril girdle of carrying would be almost unbelievable. But howthe hell I know what Biskup has thought when he has coded SMC. The other day i got an AoLS in barnabals shop... Completely random char - male gray elf monk was a nice surprise since i just killed a child (usually my first kill comes from terinyo - courage can be wished for (and can be made obsolete with the right fighting tactics)) I died trying to get precrowned lawful in the druids cave there was a corruption trap that gave me two WMoPCs, that were unsacrificable. There is no such thing as permanent doom, though sometimes the doom/curse won't be lifted by simply un-equipping the item (I think). Your diety can always remove it though. Jan Erik Mydland HoF admin |
