potent aura, then charged (recharges pp quicker)
then id personally get hardy, tough skin, iron skin, immune to pain, just to reduce damage taken
Longstride is handy because you can run away a little quicker when need be

You shouldn't put much points on toughness at the start, because it can be trained by eating morgia root herbs. Mana (yeah, it's mana, not magic) isn't actually too important even for wizards. It can be trained by casting spells (higher pp cost -> higher training). Learning is useful, a wizard should have at least 20. 23 is well enough. Willpower is important, especially important to spellcasters because higher willpower means longer spell range and duration. It's also good when resisting confusion and it slightly increases your hp and pp.

Useful wizard talents:
Take some defensive talents like
Careful -> very careful -> quick -> defensive fighter -> dodger*
And shield talents
Shield specialist -> shield expert -> shield master (don't remember the exact order)
Long stride is also good. Don't take potent aura :P charged is good. Don't take hardy-...->immune to pain, I think it's just waste of talents. :P

*you must have the dodge-skill to get Dodger
