Precrowns are not that hard if you try for them, just avoid guarunteed artifacts. If you only get the Si before dwarftown your guarunteed an alter there for at least 1 at level 11. Bracers Of War are a kick ass precrown. Member of the AAA, Adom Adicts Anonymous. |

Yeah, i've had the black tome as a precrown as well. However, with a little patience and the exploitation of a particular location in the game, precrowning is really easy - so a bad precrown every now and then is just part of playing the odds. |

Claudius: yes they do. But it is not always easy to get. For characters that start without either healing or herbalism (e.g. archers) there is a tough choice between choosing one. Personally I go for healing unless playing a troll (which I usually don't). Without herbalism all picked herbs will be cursed. It is easy to uncurse the lot with one scroll of uncursing, but getting the lot blessed is another matter entirely. Sytytä toiselle tuli ja hän pysyy lämpimänä jonkin aikaa. Well the candle sign can cover the lack of healing skill. I usually go for crowning straight away, too much work with sacrificing monsters. Though if I manage to get a farm going early it is tempting to precrown. |

I never have any problems saccing for one precrown. Two is a bit more painful, but easy enough. You just need a lot of that un-saccable food. I find this quicker to achieve than to harvest enough fillia, I always go to L alignment for this, speeds up saccing a lot. I always generate the si as well, because dwarftown is too important an location too wait for (shop, stats). I never go below it, though. |

Fun fun, I just got a precrown with trollish beastfighter.. Executor. yay Total waste of time. Ahwell. For your sake I hope heaven and hell, are really there, but I wouldn't hold my breath. You wasted life, why wouldn't you waste death? |

Precrown is for non-extreme alignment, right - but what are the piety-level compared to normal crown? Expirience level requirement? |

I usually get fast crowning/precrown if an altar is generated in the PC, VD, DD, etc. where low level characters can get to with little to no problems. If you can't find altars in these locations then its a bit harder (in my point of view). |
