Well, I've never used one of these, nor a scroll of item creation. Do they ever produce anything useful? Are they affected by danger levels? I think I have pretty much everything I need, but this would be good to know for the future. |

Gold, my good friend, GOLD! The more dangerous the level, the more gold, would be my bet. http://tankefel.blogspot.com/ So far you have only killed one wild cat. |

It's better than shootting Death Ray toward goblin :)) (if you do it for some known reasons...) And FYI Sargoth, I've got clothes quite a few times at the sneezing level of CoC so I guess it's pretty much random. My RL dumpyard: http://www.geocities.com/ceruleannebula/index.html |

Treasure creation is indeed related to danger level, and also gives more when blessed (obviously). Nothing terrific though, about 1.5k on deeper levels. Can turn out to be handy if you're stuck in the Rift with no climbing set... Item creation works like the spell, so it's completely random what you get, making it generally worthless since there's so much damn junk. A higher danger level probably means that better items are included in the possibilities, but it's still a tiny chance to get anything truly decent. It still trains mana to cast, though. If you have the time and patience, and possibly a shop at which to unload the junk, you might as well cast the spell repeatedly. Die Gedanken sind Frei |

I generally use petrification to train Mana, and then kick the statues to get some wands. Wands of far slaying at doors or in the wilderness are also a perfect way to completely drain your PP and then regen it all, but I usually find that a bit too boring... (not that I don't do it, but petrifying people is so much more fun, and free wands too!) Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

I've once got BoW using a blessed item creation in the mana temple so it is possible to get artifacts with them. Most of the time its just junk though. |
