Is this the quickest death in history? Created a Wizard, wandered down to teryino to read my spellbooks. The moment I arrived, I read my first spellbook, Ice Ball. It partially !! drained my health. 12hp down to 0. Hadnt even equipped anything, talked to no-one etc. Still at least I can laugh at this one, havent wasted hours getting a characted up to strength only to die in a stupid manner. |

Sounds pretty quick. I usually die quickly, as I always head straight for the SMC and try to find the stairs down and get to level 5 (or 4 if a troll... so as to get the Krannach(?) quest). Still, I don't recall ever dying that quick. The kobold cringes in pain |

Quickest death I've ever heard of: The PC drank a !oW got Wish, casted it and died, all within one hours game time, only a couple of turns spent ^^ My RL dumpyard: http://www.geocities.com/ceruleannebula/index.html |

Or you can always start the game, enter the first wilderness square, and keep praying till your god kills you. That'll also get you the most negative points score. Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

A far as fast dying is concern, it's pretty hard to beat !! My quickest death was when I was ambushed by Kranach the instant I got out of Lawenilothehl, on my way to the SMC. Not a single monster killed on that day :-). Now, I wait till leve 5 before talking to the sheriff ... :-p All your base are belong to us. |

The quickest death ever... easy: press the 'a' key 4 times with a wizard at start :) The Great Wyrm of Order breathes light (more) - wow, you feel very smart! |

Windows crashed as I did the test -_- The pray-till-death approach: circa 2 mins and -14999 score. The alchemy approach: 30 secs and 2 turns (raven sign) My RL dumpyard: http://www.geocities.com/ceruleannebula/index.html |

The quickest death ever I beieve was a low thoughnes character who "died of exhaustion" upon starting the game on a monday. It was a bit of a bug though, no character will die outright from "monday exhaustion", but the player kept loading and saving, and every time he loaded he got the "you feel slightly exhausted" message and lost a few more hitpoints. After 4-5 saves the character eventualy died of this HP loss with 0 played turns :P Jan Erik Mydland HoF admin |

In theory, a gray elf mindcrafter or wizard, with a base toughness of 6, could lower their toughness even further with questions, and then one in a million would die instantly from Monday exhaustion without saving and loading. I guess Thomas probably put a safeguard against that, but he did program in that death message, afterall. Edit: I just remembered that strength and willpower also affect your max hp, it would be tough getting all 3 stats to extremely low values, but might still work. The following is a real Adom message: The homunculus hits you. You suddenly fall asleep! Do you want to continue to read the spellbook of Calm Monster?
