That's a very lucky dip! I've only had rings exchanged into RoDS once, also on DH:2. (That was 11 rings! Woo hoo!) My number one wish priority is AoLS for Khelevastar. If I have one, I'll wish for skills next. Skills I consider wish-worthy are find weakness, food preservation, and concentration. Also, sometimes I'll wish for alchemy if I want the chance at a good PoGA recipe, but that isn't usually worth it for me in the end. After that, I wish for seven league boots, if I don't have any, but I almost always do by then. I've never wished for an AoLS for myself, even though that might be a good idea. Remaining wishes are saved for the odd item I might want later on, like spellbooks of improved fireball or rings of weakness. I *never* wish for dragon scalemails or eternium items, which the guidebook suggests. The following is a real Adom message: The homunculus hits you. You suddenly fall asleep! Listen to my 'good' advice - wish for magical writing setS - in plural. You'll get around 3 with 2-6 charges each. Then, if you have never met one, wish for scrolls of education. You'll get around 3 of them. After you do so, go get blank scrolls by disposing of cheap useless scrolls, and start writing scrolls of education! Don't forget to bless them after you finish. As result you'll get a very skillfull character. You'll get a vast chance of getting alertness, wich cannot be wished for, usefull Athletics, etc. However, If you've seen scroll of education before, second wish is worth spending for pairs of 7LBs. |
