This is the furthest I've ever got. I have all the orbs, crowned, excellent weapons, ok DV. Powerful spells, especially Acid Ball. However I'm concerned that I'm not experienced enough. I'm a level 33 Dark Elf wizard. Str 45, Wi 44 (With Orb +10) Mana 41. Hp 450. Nothing in the game can live with me now, but I'm still worried about level 50. Am I ready, or should I do one of the following. Clear out the Mana Temple entirely, or do the blue dragon caves. I have immunity to shock, crowning gift, so caves are tempting. Problem is that corruption is biting, at letter L at the moment. I have done the unicorn quest, so I can get clear once. I plan to clear myself prior to the final level 50 dive. I dont care about my character once I've won, I just want to post that win. Would you go for it now, or clear the mana temple and blue caves for experience?. Advice required. |

I'd say blue caes first (make sure you drop vulnerable equipment on the stairs before descending) then mana temple (make sure you have death ray resistance first). If you worried about corruption then remember that with writing sets you can create SoCRs at the cost of 2 mana apiece. Can be very helpful... Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

I've already killed the Archmage, so death ray resistance shouldnt be needed to clear out the rest. I'm just looking to get the experience from the rest of the minions in there. I used the trick of getting the archmage into the corridor, and then once I'd killed him, I panicked and ran back to teryino (wanted the unicorn quest). Can I do the blue dragon caves without accepting Sharad-Waadors quest?. My worry here is that if I accept the quest, get into trouble, I cant wait around with corruption mounting. |

yes, you can go to the blue dragon caves without getting the quest, but imo the only reason for you to go there would be to get sume nice stuff, the xp isn't really that important, you will get it on D:50 anyway. Ok This is it. By monday, Ill have won or be very very unhappy. Level 37, Wi not high enough, but nothing else I can do. No more experience is possible without risking corruption. Cleared all temples entirely. All orbs bar one placed, mana the first so when I go back down, I'll not go to zero mana. Currently in the quickling tree getting speed up to max. Still considering clearing blue caves (mostly done, just the big guy to think about) But its time to hit level 50. Wish me luck, an update will be here on Monday. |
