just wondered while having this corrupt will St and To go all the way up to 99? All roads lead to chaos, in the end. |

To won't, but St will. But's -1 Le, -1 Wi, -1 Ap and -1 Ch for +1 St, so it's only good if you don't care about spells, skills and have a way to regain your Willpower (herbs if your Wi is 28 and lower). A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks. |

Actually I've found that the Ape corruption does increase your toughness (undocumented). I got trapped in the Rift one time without a climbing set, trying to scum enough gold to buy the ratling's set (he ended up being killed right after I got enough, but then I found a RoDS). Anyway, I had the corruption all throughout, and my St and To both got pushed over 50. Damage to the other stats wasn't so bad - I recovered Le with training from Garth and Wi with herbs. I wasn't fussed about the Charisma and Appearance loss... Overall this corruption can be very beneficial if you're willing to scum it. Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

I think I could second that. On the last game I played, I had the apish corruption for a large portion of the game, and my toughness seemed to rise with my strength, though it never says as much. Molach: "I like to have 200+ hp and over 5 good healin potions when I do [the fire] temple. AND some way of killing the Wyrm" Morio: "Some way of killing the worm is recommended, yes :D" |
