...a plant slayer? Does this mean I can wipe out the animated forest? Are there other plant-type monsters besides the ents? You pick up the Wand of Do Nothing. 'z'... Nothing happens. 't'... The Wand of Do Nothing misses the kestral. Come on, it's a Wand of Do Nothing! |

You can use the scorched spear to wipe out the animated forest... also shambling mounds are plants. I don't think there are any other plant monsters out there. For the Horde! |

What you want to watch out for, is those trees becoming more and more experienced, the more of them you kill. Eventually, when you look at them, you'll notice they are "Extremely Experienced" do 6 attacks a around, and get a large number of critical hits. Their drops suck, they give pitiful xp, so don't do it. Use the banshee on them and pick up all the goodies instead. |

If you lure a certain creature to do the job for you, the loot is excellent. For the Horde! |

One tactic I used, was with an Orcish Monk, who had gotten the spear early and trained up in it. With his strength bonus, backstabbing skill at 100 and invisibility, and the plant slaying mod from the spear, he could one-shot most of the trees, which made for clear sailing. He also used a pickaxe to dig a tunnel around the perimeter of the tree room and used a wand of door creation at the entrances/exits, also locked them with a key so they wouldn't get crowded. A few trees would spawn in the tunnels, but they were easily dispatched. |
