Hi guys,

I have a level 16 HE Archer. I accidentally shot a dwarf during the demon fight in Dwarftown. A load of hostile dwarfs appeared and Waldenbrook went hostile too. I turned invisible and ran away upstairs.

I've heard Waldenbrook is difficult to kill. Is there any way to stop him being hostile. I have music but I doubt that helps. Any advice appreciated...

Cheers, Pete

You can't make him friendly again. If you have enough HP and are very fast, you might try leading him away from Dwarftown and let him be for now. You could try to kill him, but stay out of his coin's range. Coins are deadly.

MAKE CERTAIN you are not doomed or cursed. Either of those will increase the amount of critical hits enemies will score against you, and how likely they are to hit you. This can lead to some very quick deaths. Drink a potion of insight, cast the Revelation spell if you have it, or even easier, find a co-aligned altar and sacrifice until you get the "very close" message, which will remove dooming and cursing.

Bottom line, if you go back to dwarftown to fight everyone and are doomed or cursed, you'll have the deck stacked against you.

...or use this opportunity to go chaotic, teleport to altar, convert it quick, then sacrifice all of the dwarves for tons of piety.

unless you're already crowned.

iirc, you can't sac dwarfs on THAT altar no mater that happens.

Well there is something to be tested! Convert the dwarftown altar to chaotic, and try and sac all the dwarves! I don't see why you couldn't...

I tried converting it. You still can't sac any of the dwarves, even if it's chaotic.
