I was looking at the FAQ, and noticed that it had the porter/master packager/beast of burden talents ranked fairly low. After a little playing with them, I realized that you can get an essentially unlimited carrying capacity if you hunt for dragons (I use lone black dragons on wilderness swamp squares), get them to pick up all your gold, kill them, and then pick up double the gold you dropped. If you do this while wearing a blessed girdle of greed, you can rack up gold and carrying capaciy very quickly... My Wizard is walking around with around 300 000 000$, and around 1 000 000s extra in his carrying capacity before he'd reach Burdened. Anyone else ever tried this?

What would it look like if the girdle got destroyed? :)
You steal a broken dagger! The orc misses you.

Atlas Spell is a bit easier to swing, imho.

Problem is, if the gold is on the ground, and the dragon uses attack, and it hits the gold, you don't lose 100, 1000, 100,000,000, you lose ALL of it.
Homework is not meant for home! It's a sick verbal coincidence!

That risk can be made neglicient just by being as fast or faster than the dragon, and never getting in a straight line from him and the gold. Drop the gold when the dragon is a Chess Knight's hop away, for example. Also you eliminate the risk with invisibility, as long as you don't for some mental reason melee attack first, THEN drop gold.

I did it in a white vault, for fun, this one time, and that also took away that risk.

However there is the risk of boredom using the trick, though. Buying stats and repeatedly buying out casino must be a couple reasons to do it. But I'm usually happy with the SI-economy.
