I just downloaded ADOM for the first time and got the puppy quest for the dungeon to the north-east. I have been in there with three characters and each time I have cleared it out but there is no dog at all. Am I missing something or something. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks! P.S. With just what I have done so far I am really liking this game. I wish I could have found it earlier than now. :) |

If you'll reach the last level of the puppy cave before day #3 you'll find the little dog alive and it will follow you (beware other monsters attacking it); otherwise you'll find a puppy corpse (a white %); pick it up and give it to the tiny girl to get a lawful boost on your alignment. Welcome! :-) |

Spoiler Or you can get to the puppy in three days, kill it, and tell the little girl how you found and killed her precious pet. That one'll get you a drop of your alignment. Found out by accident, ran into the poor thing in darkness. A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel. A realist sees a train. Damn, how do you think up this $#!+? That was priceless. Made me think of that story in the news recently of a man beating another guy with pickles and getting charged with assault.
