This was so fun I had to video it. I took my wizard to the tower and boosted his willpower over 90, then blasted away with ice ball. Never got hurt (apart from the background damage for a drakeling, which I countered with a ring of regen and Preserver). To download it RIGHT-CLICK this link, save it, and remove the ".doc" at the end (only way I could get it uploaded on geocities was to pretend it was a filetype it recognised). Then open the file in DosRecorder (which you can get here if you don't already have it). Somehow I don't think this character will have a huge amount of trouble winning... Anyone else fancy putting up some fun videos? Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." I think DosRecorder won't work with win98 or I would download it. I had a demo of clearing the BUGWIL to the stairs as a level 1 wizard. I think I deleted it though. Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong! |

Yeah, DosRecorder is NT-base only (so WinNT, XP or 2k). Would be very neat to see your bug temple clearing tactic, or indeed your early DarkForge raid. Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

In the DOS recorder, open the 'PLayer' folder, and load that up. Worked for me, I realised I was trying to open the recorder and play it in that! Ladies and Gentleman, take my advice. Pull down your pants, and slide on the ice. |

I did a quick demoworkshop recording of clearing the BUGWIL to the stairs. I used a level 1 grey elven wizard, but you could use any wizard I suppose. I put it on this link: http://hyperfileshare.com/d/c3baaeda This is the first time I have posted a file there, it should work, but if it doesn't, I'll repost it somewhere else. The file is about 280K and runs for about 8 minutes. Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong! |

One more Demoworkshop demo. This time I raid Darkforge. I set the calandar to Dec. 31 for the six blessed potions of booze and used an exp. level 1 grey elven mindcrafter. It took a while to roll one with a wand of teleport. But he got his head handed to him by two steel golems on his way out of Darkforge. He even made it up the stairs first. Ouch! The second try was with a scroll of item detection. That meant first visiting the VDDL, for the guaranteed wand of teleport. Unfortunately I ran into some trouble and had to kill some monsters. So I eventually raided Darkforge with an exp. level 3 PC. Oh well. I accidentally left a red dragon scale mail untouched in the armor room. I didn't catch it until I reviewed the movie clip. Anyway, it runs about 7 minutes, and it's about 200K. http://hyperfileshare.com/d/d64cbb9c Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong! |
