Which messages? They are collected in the Guidebook, or you could post specific ones here °_°.

Noticed something about falcon star-sign: this could be just random but I think you will have a very high chance starting from a noble family and getting rather beneficial history messages (nobility-aspect of starsign). This results also in better starting equipment (3 books for wizards instead of 2). Am I right?

Not those ones, after you've done your starsign etc, you get a character background. From what I've been reading, they seem to have different effects. Just wondered if anyone knew what they all were! Rich parents, hard working etc etc

I'm pretty sure they affect your starting stats in some way. Characters who get the "seriously ill" text seem to have lower toughness and strength.

It would take quite a bit of rolling chars out and writing down their stats and character background to sort them all out..

Well, yeah, it would be quite a bad thing, considering it's all written down already.

No - I mean you would have to record your answers and calculate the effects from guidebook because else you would have a random factor in your stats causing additional trouble figuring out the history influence.
That is if you can't hack the code or write a prog generating thousands of characters and calculating a statistical approximation automatically of course...

With all the other testing that's been done regarding this game, I'm surprised this hasn't been figured out yet. Not that it would make a big difference, it's beyond your control. Most you can do is reroll if you get screwed.

The reason it hasn't been discovered is because it's completely uncontrollable. You can generally make a decent guess at the stat-effects from the descriptions, and then shortly after you'll get to see what your actual stats. Other than mild curiosity why would you go to the trouble of researching the exact effects?

No, I assume curiosity is the exact reason as to why he wants to know.
