Hi there. I'm playing as a Female High Elf Wizard, randomly generated. And my question is dose the PC .svg ever exceed 725KB? That's been my average file size, and since no one posts there PC file sizes, I want to know if this is the max. Because overtime this game takes up more than ten MB on my computer, and I seem to take great care of file sizes. |

i've got files that are 1meg (1000kb) so yes they can easily exceed 725 The stone giant runs away in fear. Who ever heard of a stone being scared of gravel? |

The save file gets bigger depending on all the things you do and have in the game. By the end it's quite easy for it to exceed 1 Mb. When it's saving you can get an idea of how big the file is by how long it takes to save (how many dots it shows). Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

Whitemag.svg - 2 902 616 bytes. That's 2 835 KB and 2.73 MB. I keep that one, since it's a testament to my playing skills ;P Ok, just a testament to how luck on precrownings and Drakeling Healers win games ;) A pessimist sees a dark tunnel. If/When I get to the end-game my files tend to be about 1.5 megabytes. I usually visit all the different places, take my time in herb harvesting and smithing so the games are long. I can't understand what Maelstrom does to get his save file that big, though :) If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. Nothing like that. Just a regular victory IIRC, but he does have an inventory of ~28000 stones. I can send that save file if anyone is curious. J. my archmage saves were also quite large, can't remember exact size though. If one collects a shedload of miscallenous stuff the game has to store information about all that somewhere, thus resulting in large save files. Yeah, I'd wager a guess that kicking dragon ass in the BDC would result in a big save file due to the sheer number of items generated.. I've also had a 40000 st inventory with a st90+ barbarian who used to bookcast SoA, but he wore a moloch armour and carried around an extra, so he didn't have THAT much junk with him :) If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. Update. I recently reached the casino in COC,(close to being a millionareis? Yes eris), found a greater vault of giants,stone lords, orc chefttins, ate everything that tried to kill me now extremely strong, found a dijinn ring blessed it,(of course), wished for SoCR got lucky four went into my pack, drank a potion of cure corruption to get rid of crappy crpts, read one of the scrolls, lost the loose 1/4 of your weight, and mana battery, damn wanted to get into the quickling tree oh well two for the price of one. So now my file size is 1027KB, oh yes I also found oh so many oodles of treasures, dagger of death, several eternium weapons, plenty *good* sacraficing fodder, and a bunch of other useless junk. Hey! This is the furthest I have gotten! And with seventy something tries! Wish me luck, though I'm not going for an ultra ending, I'll try that with my other characters. |
