I think I can officially say that John Preston would kick Neo's butt. Kung Fu got nothin' on Gun Kata.

. . . Although I will concede that the first Matrix film had a better overall story.

Personally, I hardly ever watch movies at all.
Most of them seem dull to me in my old age : )
When I read the title of this thread:
Preston vs Anderson
I thought I had found a fellow MMA enthusiast : )

I was saying "Who is this Preston guy! He's
fighting Anderson Sylva, and I haven't heard
of him!?"

Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong!

Heh, that's exactly what I was thinking :)

The Matrix was a good film, although I kind of expected more from the sequels... What movie is this Gun Fu thing from? Who's preston?
If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away.

It's from "Equilibrium", and that "Gun kata" is the art of standing in one place in a gun fight and doing weird poses while firing dual berettas 93r on burst mode.

A pessimist sees a dark tunnel.
An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel.
A realist sees a train.
And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks.

Standing in one place? Then just aim for his feet. :)

You don't need to aim at his feet.
Just aim.

Actually, you don't aim at him at all. You run away while he is killing everybody else.

Gun Kata is a fictional martial art based on guns. It is based on making the gun an extension of your body and in intuiting/determining where everyone else's bullets are going to be fired (and on not being there when the bullets are)

Those actually exist? I thought that they had been made up for Fallout.

In any case, Feh. Preston survived both shot guns and automatics. Combining them into one won't help.

Two working prototypes of those exist, the weapon has never hit full scale production.

You can't dodge a room full of gauge 12 ;)
