Darkness plus a strong melee attack. If you can corner him in the left side of his own shop, but not stand right next to him, you can kill him as long as he doesn't stop panicking. Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong! |

Yeah, wizzies are good for having a source of darkness, but horrible in melee. Once in darkness though, it is safe to remove your armor. This will give a berserking advantage, and if you have a ring of damage, that goes a long way too. It's still a very risky thing to do though. As far as bolt spells go, shopkeepers shrug them off way to much to depend on them. Acid spit will work if you are invisible and have a high enough exp. level. There are some other methods, like using missiles in combination with teleport, or maybe using the water squares as a barrier. I think the GB now has a section on robbing shops, maybe you should check. Are you wanting the exp. points or the shop items? Put me in the 'fool filter', where I belong! |
