I'm desperate for a RODJS, have already drained all pools etc, so wishes are hard to come by. Currently in ID scumming for a ring. What is the best level to search for RODJS, currently on level 4 hoping to pick one up. Have excellent character, just need to AOLS to complete this game as an ULE Thanks Jules |

Not sure what you mean there, could you expand on this? I've already searched there for rings, not a single ring in her collection !!!. Havent seen that before, normally at least one ring even if not of any use. Just a complete collection of junk. Dont see how using potions of exchange in water cave will help. Thanks Jules |

You will never find either an AoLS or a RoDS on ID:4. You need to be to at least ID:6 to be able to find an AoLS (very rare), or to at least ID:24 to be able to find a RoDS. Your best spot would be hopping between ID:24 and 25. littlebrather may be talking about using exchange or raw chaos to convert items into other items. Raw chaos cannot create wish items and the odds for an AoLS, even properly controlled, are awful. If you wanted to exchange for RoDS, you'd want to go to CoC:8 and dip your biggest stack of rings (probably fire/acid/cold resist - convert them all to the same B/U/C status so they all stack) into a potion of exchange and hope for the best. The odds are of course fairly poor (around 3% IIRC) and exchange isn't exactly common (and can be very useful to polymorph mobs as well), but you can occasionally get a stack of wishes from this (and this is the basic idea behind a normal wish engine). |
