why in HOF some wimpy closing-the-gate ending scores are *90 millions*??? Even best UCG has less than half of that!! why is that, I wonder...

The final score depends greatly on turns... if you in few turns end the game you will get great score. Chaos ending requires more turn because you must find all the stuff for ending in this way.

The scoring algorithm greatly favour regular wins (guess it haven't been updated much since the new wins where implemented). At least that used to be the case way back before the alternative endings where implemented, though I suspect the scoring formula still work in roughly the same way...

Basicaly regular winners have theyr score doubeled after closing the gate and then doubeled again after leaving the chain alive.
