hey, where is everyone? I'm promoting such a great game :) and everyone seems to ignore it? :-/ Guyz, it can be probable opponent of ADOM! yes yes! And stop beating me, that hurts! :) It's very hard to be humble, when you are great. |

Avanor is still beta so comparing it to ADoM and NetHack which are quite mature is a bit silly. It does show a lot of promise though. I'd like to see an ADoM clone that had much more variation on the quests / story game to game without being totally randomised.  ……ABCGi

I think realism is not such a good word to use with games, especially fantasy games. For example in adom: mix two potions of water with alchemy and you get an explosion, now how realistic is that? If you're feeling happy, don't worry, it'll go away. I like Avanor. I wouldn't describe it as an "opponent of ADOM" necessarily... that doesn't seem quite right. It would be a competitor, if there was any money involved. Instead, I like to think of it as one man's journey to the creation of art through an outdated character set. Still, I think it's a fantastic little game, and the author (Vadim, a Russian fellow) seems quite dedicated to the project. He seems quite capable - as long as he stays dedicated and people continue to help him out via the public bug/RFE lists, he's going to have a very enjoyable game at the end. If he can figure out a way to make a living doing it, there probably won't be an end. But again, he probably won't find a way to make a living doing it. Avanor is pretty good, needs a little more work and it will be some good competition. Biskup and Vadim should have a coffee together (plane tickets are cheap... (too expensive?waste of time?) (I have my friend's computer for acesss! (yeah!!!!) and man this is fast.) That's top secret...(yeah right!) (hey I just take loose change most I take is $1) hints; speed large coats , big pocket fat people crowds (my fav.) parties people too lazy to notice DO NOT's beggars ("Hey I got $500 dollars in my pocket right here and right now! I have a place in the big house in Mcalaster.") (actually I never get caught, that was what a beggar said to my sis when she offered $1 (no I didn't steal it!)
