(a quite offensive thread)
Metallica = pop. Long ago.
well, not pop is of course Christina Augilera, it's Rock, yeah! J/k :)
Spiritual Healing - The Muses Rapt
Prince of Puppets (or how's it spelled?)- Shiva Space Technology
Aroyund the world in a tea daze - Shpongle
These are only three, but i bet you don't know 'em anyway, because people who listen to Metallica, TLC and Destiny's Child don't know how does good music sound like

Yes I listened to them (via that lauchcast, uh el's question). This is getting *quite interesting, a music debate, I stated my opinion on music (one thing I am NOT pacifist about ), everyone to their own tastes, as they say, but don't get me started on O-town or R Kelly or even (if ye dare) on the song from the Hummer comercial (sis' favorite song).
Songs I found good
(Black sun, Riddle (I thought the name of it was) Wake Up (very good one) Minnie the Mucher (I listen to many kinds of music)Eurphoria, Prince of Puppets... it was alright.
(please don't start on DMX, or Bill will be angry)

Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Most of their work
???? - Bonecracker (That might not be the name of the song)
Pressure4-5 - Beat the World
Ozzy Osbourne - Pre-Osbournes albums
Static X - The "Wisconsin Death Trip" album
???? - The "Guilty Gear XX" soundtrack (Now THAT'S ambience)
Nirvana - ALL of thier work

:) Everyone can listen to whatever they like. Even Britney :P.

I personally love ambient, because it wonderfully calms me downs. Even if I'm furious, after listening to Silence about 10 times I'm calm again! That's remarkable!

Hm. You've been quite far from my tastes :p

Babylon Whores - Errata Stigmata, Beyond The Sun, Love Under Will, Omega Therion
Moonspell - The Hanged Man
Kingston Wall - Shine On Me
Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze, Wild Thing, Fire, Hey Joe
Type O Negative - I Know You're Fucking Someone Else, Christian Woman, Black #1
Faith No More - Star A.D, Evidence, Digging The Grave
King Crimson - Easy Money, Book of Saturday, 21st Century Schizoid Man
The Gathering - When The Sun Hits
Kyyria - Gift
Pink Floyd - The Wall (whole album)

Whoah. Trying to create some sort of Top10 was useless... but here's a nice selection of my favourites. I only checked some records I had on my table and that I could remember quickly... if I really had tried to search ALL of my music and picking up my favourites, that list would've been endless....

Personally, I don't exactly have any favorite song or genre as I just tend to slap in anything that I like and listen to it. Well, I'll present you with a list of the songs I currently remember that I find especially compelling.

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Queen - Show Must Go On
David Bowie & Queen - Under Pressure
Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven
Led Zeppelin - Hey Hey
The Beatles - Yellow Submarine
The Beatles - She Loves You
The Beatles - Yesterday
The Strokes - 12:51
Coldplay - Shiver
Coldplay - Trouble
The Vines - Highly Evolved
Franz Ferdinand - Darts Of Pleasure
The Darkness - Growing On Me
Muse - Acopalypse Please
Muse - Falling Down

Also, why does everyone I know nowadays claim that Britney has no talent whatsoever? Though I'm indifferent towards her works, I am still observant enough to know that she can sing quite well. The same goes with other pop artists, so I cannot stress well enough that you can't determine talent by genre.

"Look, Britney has a new album" or
" You know that Britney said she was going to save her virginity till she'll get married, but lost it at 21 or 23? AAArgh!!!
