you can look at item pre-fixes (balanced, penetrating) and suf-fixes 8of balance, of vampirism) in adom.exe very strangely it's not compressed with djp... I wonder why... I found a scale mail of speed in my last game... All I know is that it didn't give a straight speed bonus, maybe something more subtile like reduced energy cost or maybe just not so abusive to DV or something... Well, I managed to CREATE myself a bundle of quarrels of darkness (damage and tohit as in normal quarrels) with a fletchery set. I was ~level 5-8 then. I didn't notice anything special in their behaviour (well, partly because I was quickly killed after that), but I was more amazed at how I could create them by myself... I have found a sickle of the void, a knife of fumbling(cursed, not fun dangit), and an unbalanced hand axe. You all prolly remember how there is usually one nice weapon on the small cave level...well, in this adom there is usually a special weapon on it. Pretty cool huh? Also i found an unwieldy club, nice damage, but horrible tohit. |

I figured out that balanced and unbalanced prefixes coralate to the tohit of a weapon. Unbalanced has a high negative tohit and balanced has a high positive tohit. For the others...no luck yet. |

I've found pick axe of lightining (it was gold!). Have it got any special powers? Maybe the same damage as Lighting Bolt? ;)) Also found throwing knife of enderring (bought in black market, it cost 100 gp and it smashed after first throwing:) orcish spear of void - I don't know what's special in this spear. ON NG two people with something of the void were able to do occasional massive damage. Sort of like a random instakill. my guess the axe of lightning enhances the speed of something, maybe attacks...i dunno. You feel a surge of power. Suddenly your extraordinary carrying capacity fails you. You are crushed by the tons of luggage you are carrying. You die... Yeah and i found: Club of hunting(+0,1d6) Fickle sword(+0,1d6) arrow of hunting(+0,1d6) eleven armor of protection [+0,+9]!!! red quarterstaff of protection- i dont remember the stats Halberd of dexterity ........and many more.I dont rember all of em And also has ayone noticed the -foo- of lightining and -foo- of fire.They seem to inflict extra damage.But why does it work only on weak monsters? i found "robe of rage" at some early levels, it turned out to be quite useful. every time i tried to change Tactics, it forced T -> Aggressive, but (it seemed) it happens only after i had hit already, so i could hit every time as berserk, without the severe DV loss.. then again, no use trying to run away as coward. some other stuff: adamantium dagger of damnation (+0, 1d4+5) eternium-shod quarterstaff of hunting (+3, 2d10+12) arrow of thunder (+0, 1d6+1) - stunned some weaker enemies uncursed griffon-feathered arrow (+0, 1d6) - longer range barbed arrow (+0, 1d6+9) arrow of targetting (+6, 1d6) mYh34Df E3L5liK3aFRiSb3e |

Missiles of lightning occasionally stun their targets. I've noticed the melee weapons of lightning do occasional bonus damage. |
