I will now complain a bit about the ADOM corruptions. I know they won't be changed but I think some of them are majorly dumb and uncool.

Imagine your character growing 10 more mutant eyes and sprouting horns out of forehead, those are cool corruptions but then imagine your mighty strong human barbarian with big sword walking in the dungeon and all of a sudden a purple glow, and lo: our barbarian suddenly shrinks to 1/10 original size looking like a small hobbit.... then the thin and nimble hobbit goes slaying colossal molochs towering 40 ft above with a sword five times bigger than him.... So totally uncool!

Oh, discuss!

Have you seen how "thin and nimble" those mechanical arms are compared to ours?

Huh? Thin and nimble doesn't mean reduction in size, just in weight, right? It cuts it in half.

And I've got no problem with being extremely thin and nimble. It is cool in a wicked spooky way, just like skeletons are spooky (and, in a sense, cool as well).

If there is an utterly uncool corruption, it's the hooves. I mean, that looks totally lame. And even if you kick your enemy with them, you still can't oversee the fact that you are using the same melee weapon as donkeys.

You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west.
Suddenly Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, appears! "That's not how you play Quidditch! are you even listening?"

Granted, being a centaur rocks. Just having hooves does not, especially if you wear shoes over them. :P

Do you remember an old shooter 'Hexen'?

There were centaus, but special ones - they were rather a cross between humanoid and a lion(?) - that is, their 'lower' part diffrerd in appearance, and they had claws on their feet.

The Sphinx only had a human head and umm...boobs (not the whole torso, just the head and breasts).

And to be at least partially on topic, I think all of the corruptions are quite fun. There's just something spooky about a skinny barbarian with an overgrown cranium, hooves and horns, who breaths out whisps of sulfur-smoke.
A pessimist sees a dark tunnel.
An optimist sees a light at the end of that tunnel.
A realist sees a train.
And the train driver sees three idiots on the tracks.
