Okay, I have three Sis - one blessed, two uncursed. While doing this, I didn't know which of them where which (got that by saving and quitting), so I wanted to find it out by trying to sell them. This is all happening in the Mountain Village in Leggot's shop, by the way.

So I try to drop the single si first, and it would sell for about 400 coins. Figures, this one's the blessed one, I thought. Then I tried to drop the other two, but they sold for 1010 coins!

A bit suspicious, I drop one of the two sis. It turns out he offers me 291 coins for this. I tried this again, and it's definitely the same heap of items I'm selling. Still 291, still 1010.

Two sis sell for more than triple the price of one - what the hell?

Well, maybe the shopkeeper thought there's four of them.

I did have another uncursed identified si (the two uncursed ones I was selling weren't id'd as uncursed). But this one wasn't sold when I dropped the other two.

When I have more time, I'll try to do a little testing with that phenomenon, but currently I'm too stressed with time (I shouldn't really play at all... ^_^)

"I did have another uncursed identified si (the two uncursed ones I was selling weren't id'd as uncursed). But this one wasn't sold when I dropped the other two."

Wait, the uncursed ones you tried to sell weren't identified? That explains a lot. The game adds a uncertainty factor when defining prices for unidentified items.

They were identified as "a heap of 2 sis", but their uncursed status wasn't displayed.

I made a little research on this.
Sis status: Cursed
Amount of sis dropped Amount of gold pieces offered:
1 126
2 344

Sis status: uncursed
Amount |Amount of gold pieces offered:| Should cost:
1 318 318
2 866 636
3 1299 954
4 1732 1272
5 2165 1590

Upon further calculation, I found that you get 115 gold pieces more each time you add one sis to the amount of sis you sell. This needs further research, I can't do it now, because I am in school. I will try to continue when I get to home. And btw, I made the calculation only with uncursed sis, I will test more with cursed and blessed sis later on.
And one more thing, I tested this on Waldenbrook's shop on Dwarftown.

Maybe this strange phenomenon has something to do with the multiplying nature of Si ? Just a theory, but could it be that the more Sis the shopkeeper initially has the faster the amount grows (supposing that the shopkeeper did some si-farming).

I wonder if there is a ceiling to this - it would definitely make selling Sis a very profitable business if you save them up in dozens or hundreds at a time.

Of course, by the time you have hundreds of sis to sell, you have probably reached the Casino, making most other ways of gaining income obsolete.

By the way, the "115" value appears to vary. For me, 2 uncursed sis brought 428 coins more than they should - even though the price offered for a single one was actually less than the tested one (291 instead of 318). Not dependent on race/charisma then?

Has anyone else discovered this phenomenon before? It's probably a bit spoily...

We finally know a bit more about these strange si things! :D

It obviously is dependant of race of the character and the shopkeeper, as usually when selling or buying anything, I guess. I have no idea about the charisma though. I'll this with multiple characters tonight and note the races and so on...

I tried selling sis at Waldenbrook's shop, and did not notice anything strange. N blessed sis sell at N*332 and N uncursed sis sell at N*237 (independent of whether status were known).

This happened to me in Leggot's shop. It should probably be tested with all three type-free shops in the game - Leggot's in the HMV, Waldenbrook's in Dwarftown and Barnabas' in Lawenilothehl. I forgot whether you can sell things in the Gift shop.

Would sis give more piety if one would sacrifice 100 sis at once than 100 one at a time?

Nah, you get exact same amount. And rather than sacrificing the sis, sell them and sacrifice the money instead. More piety.
