Nooooooooooooooooooo! The RNG has really had the last laugh. I've never completed this game, and just now had a high-elf archer, Archie, on D50 about to win. I had no wand of destruction or wand of monster creation, so the only way of completing D50 was to kill all the "intelligent" creatures and pull the levers. I had managed to kill off everything (including Fistinarius) except one balor. You guessed it, the balor critically hit me for over 500 damage and Archie bit the dust. Anyone ever been that close. I mean - 1 creature left, just one....sob....sob...sniff..... Back to the drawing board |
