Has anyone ever tried this? I know it sounds like a stupid thing to do, but it might just have some effect. I planned to do this with my current character, but as I'm still on track for ULE, I didnt want that to be considered a cheat, and so backed off from my plan. As he possesses Sting, there is a chance that he might just give a reward for receiving Needle. Maybe this is the way to discover the Red Rooster Inn. Of course once you've handed over Needle, dont even think about melee with him, you'd last about 6 rounds. |

I dunno. That would bring on a bunch of "Give the *foo* to *foo*." Like, give the si to mad minstrel. Or, give it to Andor Drakon (that would be interesting). I'm pretty sure it won't work. If he takes it off you without doing anything then you can kill him anyway (as you have to do to get Sting). Giving items to Andy definitely doesn't work - I think he says something like "Don't you know who I am, mortal?!" Waldenbrook, the dwarven shopkeeper, mumbles: "I'd offer 9 gold pieces for yer dwarven child corpse." |

It didnt destroy nethack, now it has Slash'em and got the nifty #enhance from it too. I want new items and monsters and classes and skills. I wouldn't read the spoilers this time around either, that would probably make it more fun. I am tired of waiting for Dwarf fortress to get fleshed out so that its fully playable and not buggy. Give us ADOM source and let us molest it, someone will make something good out of it. |
