How can I tell exactly what an item does? is there a list somewhere? I have a "necklace of the eye" but I can't figure out what, if anything, it does. I've used a scroll of identify. hmm |

great identify works fine on artifacts, suffixes, prefixes, but is pretty useless on things like amulet of protection from constructs. otherwise, we would know that this protection is good for. A root is a flower that disdains fame. Kahlil Gibran(1883-1931) |

I once heard amulets of protection from undead work against To drain and St drain, but I'm not too certain about it. Maybe amulet of protection from constructs works against the slowing attack of clay golems? You drop the golden ball. You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west. i think i got To/St drained wearing one of those, so that might not be it. or it just increasees your chances of avoiding those attacks, kinda like necromancers. and i heard amulet of protection from undead kind a help from banshee. Spoiler The banshhe wails her horrible song! Your amulet vibrates in an atempt to deflect the bone-charring sounds! still does sligtly bellow 300hp damage per song. efect doesn't depend on b/u/c status. so unless someone gives me serious data i'll think i know this one for sure. as about protection from constructs ... my guess is it should help in darkforge, somehow... Amulet of protection from constructs protects against special effects of golems, and all these "protection from" amulets also seem to reduce damage (nothing earth shattering, a few percents maybe).
