I've no idea if this is an actual keyboard prompt, but sometimes when I'm in the heat of battle, I press the wrong buttons occasionally, so this has happened a few times to me. When casting spells at later stages of the game, it can be bloody boring to watch the magic missile go across the screen before bouncing and coming back. I've had it sometimes when the missile spells zips out really fast and you don't have to wait around (unless pressing space to scroll through the messages at the top as normal). Is this just ADOM having a moment of clarity and speeding up? Or is it actually something I can turn on, because its mighty useful. ------ Ladies and Gentleman, take my advice. Speed problems with ADOM? First time I've ever heard of someone complaining about that... I've seen the effect you describe, however. It turns up for me if I alt-tab ADOM and maximize it once again; after that, the spell animations go quicker. I don't think there is a way to turn that on permanently, though.
