I have a balanced battleaxe of defense that is not giving me any defense bonuses whatsoever. Am I missing something, or is this a bug? |

[spoiler]I checked back and it did apply the bonus, but only when in defensive tactics. I'm pretty sure in the past when I've had weapons of defense they worked while on "normal"[/spoiler] |

Halberds of defense are very nice weapons, since you don't even need a shield with all that DV. "You try to give Fang, the large dog the bone. Fang, the large dog says,"Do you know who I am, mortal?!?!" My smartest dog ever:D |

Shields give more though (which is why I use them). +20 for the skill and from +0 to +16 for the shield. "If the bread weights that much in the draklor chain, then it's no wonder so many die of starvation. AND - what kind of IRON RATION weights as much as an iron shield?! Yeah, I generally fight in a spear + shield format. One of my true-berserking wizards was lucky enough to get a halberd of defense in the SMC, which is great at that point, but it wasn't enough to save my life. Would said Battleaxe of defense still give the +6 DV bonus while in Very Defensive and Coward tactics? |
