I've played for a while, but I guess I haven't learned everything. I looked up on the keymap that using mindcraft is "\Ci". What buttons do I press to do that? I've presed those keys in every order, to no avail. What do I do?

Press "ctrl" and while holding "ctrl", press "i". Pressing them both at the same time may lead to the keyboard thinking you pressed "i" first.

I'm using "ctrl i" on DOS as well, tab doesn't work for anything as far as I can recall.

Just checked, the DOS version has 3 ways of invoking mindcraft:
- Pressing the Tab key
- pressing ctrl+i
- pressing m while browsing class powers.

Yes, \Ci means Ctrl+I, I think it is explained somewhere in the manual. TAB has the same ASCII code as Ctrl+I, Backspace as Ctrl+H, and Enter (carriage return) as Ctrl+M, so sometimes you can use one instead of another.
