I looked around and noticed nobody seems to have posted any fan art, so forgive me if I'm acting out of line for posting these...

These are just three sketches I've been working on, and I finally hijacked my girlfriend's scanner so I could post these...

I'm really excited to see what the ADOM community has to say about these, so feel free to make comments/critiques, etc.

This is just a sketch of your generic dwarf. Perhaps I should have added a pickaxe..

This one I call 'Champion of Law'...

Right, this is the big one. This took a grand total of like two months to complete, and I tried to stay true to the game as far as character designs. Every race except for orc and hurthling are present. I know it's a lot to look at...I'm too lazy to color it. I added a couple of artifacts, although they aren't real obvious. See if you can guess the races and classes! :D

Nice drawings. One in the middle looks more like a champion of balance with all the black and white...

In the right bottom corner, the blade with the stuff dripping from it: Emerald Bite?
You drop the golden ball.
You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west.
Suddenly Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, appears! "That's not how you play Quidditch! are you even listening?"
Which direction? (123456789) 4
Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is hit by a bolt of acid! Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is annihilated.
You hear the ecstatic cries of a large crowd!

Emerald bite? Wasn't it emerald dagger "Serpent's Bite"? ;)

Pity you are too lazy to color the last one, it makes it hard to look at it, to separate a character who is closer to us from one who is further.

BTW if you are looking for fan art, I hope you have seen the gallery on www.adom.de ?

Z, I haven't checked it out all that much. Are they still accepting submissions?

Ha, GiantFrog, I never thought about that. It's actually a troll, but whatever.

The only artifact weapons that are in the drawing are Needle and Sting, but in the hands of the troll they look like short swords in comparison to everyone else... There is also the ankh and the black tome... Non-artifact items of note would be a flail of mayhem (that's a flail, sin't it? or do they call that a morning star?), dagger of death, helm of leadership, and...leather cap.

I love the detail in the bottom picture - obviously took a huge amount of effort. Is the wing motif in the champion of law picture in any way Tolkien inspired? I'm guessing for the last picture:

-Drakeling monk, not wearing very much
-some sort of barbarian behind the drakeling, wearing furs and wielding a mace
-Dark elven necromancer, with black tome, poisoned dagger and a dark robe
-Gnome... thief maybe? With gnomish boots, a hatchet, a dagger and of course a leather cap
-Female grey elven paladin, in plate armour with medium shield, and what looks like a sword or axe
-Human fighter, with chain armour, an insanely long flail, and a horned helmet
-Dwarven...something (could be anything really), with a wand, a pick axe, and a double-headed axe
-High elven archer in mithril plate mail
-Troll fighter in splint mail with very spikey helmet and two daggers (I'd personally picture the twins as looksing nearly identical and covered in runes)
-Human wizard with an enchanted staff and amulet

ChaOs: A morning star is simply a club with a spiked ball on the end. A flail is in particular a weapon with the head hinged or seperated out by a length of chain.

I see a flail the same way as chaos. That is exactly how the flail of ages looks in a certain computer game.

It's one type of flail, certainly, but the flail pictured above is very stereotypical of a standard medieval flail (see the Wikipedia article for a picture of a real one). This "flail of ages" sounds quite unwieldable, I must say, but then many video games aren't wholly realistic...

...many video games aren't wholly realistic...???
What? Are you sure? Damn, maybe thats why I can't find a carpenter to make me some shelves for the living room - I have searched all over for a purple skinned guy who then turns green, and never found one... maybe in RL their skin is green all the time... D'oh.

The pictures are cool anyway... Almost didn't see the elven archer... The drakeling is definitely not someone I would want to meet on a drak, err, dark night... Unless he has also learnt carpentry?

Hmm, carpenters are something everyone knows about, but no one ever sees... I know plenty of builders, DIY men, etc, but I've never met a real carpenter.

You're on the ball for the most part, DarrenGrey, except that the HE female paladin isn't actually wielding the shield, the barbarian is (I know it's hard to see for the lack of contrast).

It's actually a warhammer for the barbarian. And it's a drakeling fighter...I had to cut the page off on the left so you can't see the hand axe he's wielding.

The Champ of Law's design was actually inspired by the game Lineage 2...but mostly I wanted to draw a heavily-armoured paladin with a ridiculous helmet. The wings on the feet didn't turn out quite the way I wanted, but what the hey. I couldn't imagine getting kicked by that guy. Or having him headbutt me.

I suppose that if you manage to contact Thomas (which seems hard), and he likes it enough to make an update to www.adom.de (which is also rare, but he did so recently for ADOI and some video) then yes...

Needs moar Sir Mason and Andor Drakkon(good luck).

I'm in the process of making a series of sketches featuring the early, mid, and end-game looks of a dark elvish assassin.

If I were to draw Noall/Ultima, it would just be a huge motion blur followed by an impossibly large heap of random junk piled up on his back.

I say lets draw a titantic orc fighting, say, a human paladin, with a theif stealing from him, and a necromancer creating zombies in the background. Or a battle outside of the ToEF.
or this:
###########################################
.....@WL&&D&&LLGLWWDLLLLWWW....WWDL........
###########################################
and yes, that is a banshee in the middle.
I'll need these all by tuesday. That'll be 998,999,999 gold peices
