I have a gnomish bard, level 10, born under raven and found quicksilver 1/4staff in SMC....plus the 7LB's. I was mining in D2, and when ever I make the guy do anything aside from checking inventory, the game does a weird save->crash. anybody help? I had a character with the same problem. I wouldn't lose his file, but I couldn't do anything but look at inventory, if I tried to move or whatever, it would crash. I'm sorry to say, this character is lost. Theory one: The RNG luck score got too positive because of the quicksilver quarterstaff and the seven league boots and wrapped around into the lowest possible negative value, giving you the worst luck in history. about 4 squares, the 3rd had a stone giant (I ate the corpse, but I don't think that would do anything) oh, and the 7LB's were from heir talent. You can enable access for quitters into the high score list in the ADOM.CFG file I think, but you'd better ask the Manual about the details. You drop the golden ball. You kick the golden ball. I don't think the exact cause of crash can be determined, the game just tends to crash sometimes, most notably after saving Khelevaster :( Just make save game backups often. |
