When drinking a potion of education or reading a scroll of education, does the blessed/cursed/uncursed status make any difference? or would say an uncursed one do the exact same thing as a blessed one?

I think a blessed scroll of education has a higher chance to grant a *new* skill, maybe even guarantees it. I definitely experienced not getting a new skill after having read an uncursed one, instead receiving training in something as useless as Haggling. So I recommend blessing these in any case.

You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west.
Suddenly Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, appears! "That's not how you play Quidditch! are you even listening?"

Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is hit by a bolt of acid! Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is annihilated.
You hear the ecstatic cries of a large crowd!

Blessing them certainly doesn't guarantee a new skill - I've gotten increases to poor skills from blessed scrolls before. I'm fairly sure you get a much better starting base and dice increase on skills from a blessed scrolls. I haven't tried using a cursed scroll - I'd be worried about it draining skill levels.

In my games, I decide to bless them or not,
depending on how much holy water I have. I
haven't noticed more luck with blessed
potions/scrolls when it comes to granting
new skills, but if possible, I bless them
anyway.

The best I have done with 'educations' lately,
is four in one game. I found two blessed and
two uncursed. The blessed ones yeilded a new
skill (metalurgy) and increased an existing
skill (dodge). The uncursed ones yeilded a
new skill (alertness) and increased (haggling).
The only good effect was Alertness, and I
got that one just before fighting the Archmage.
