or a really weird ratling.

this is what my monster memory says about ratling warriors:

"...They seem to have 6-23 hitpoints(15 on the average). Usually they attack 1 time. A hit causes 6-13 points of damage(9 on the average). They seem to have a speed of 91-110(99 on the average).
They are able to teleport."

!!!

i've never seen a ratling teleport... =P

Well, your PC has seen a ratling warrior suddenly appear out of thin air. Since your PC is dumb, he thinks that means all ratling warriors can teleport at will. That the ratling could've entered a teleport trap is not in fact able to teleport is a concept that eludes him completely.
You drop the golden ball.
You kick the golden ball. It slides to the west.
Suddenly Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, appears! "That's not how you play Quidditch! are you even listening?"
Which direction? (123456789) 4
Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is hit by a bolt of acid! Harry Potter, the apprentice wizard, is annihilated.
You hear the ecstatic cries of a large crowd!

: )

They are able to make deadly fireballs appear from out of nowhere, consuming themselves in the process. They can make acid rain from the cieling, instantly disolving themselves. They can produce extremely loud noises at will. They can cause stone blocks to fall upon their own heads, so as to crush themselves into jelly. They can seem genuinely surprised, after somehow attacking themselves with spears and arrows, without ever having touched said spears and arrows. They can instantly disappear into holes in the ground. They can engulf themselves in purple-foggy-stuff until they turn into a writhing mass of primal chaos. They can efficiently commit suicide by surrounding themselves with poisonous serpents. They can induce water to spring forth from the dungeon floor, thereby cleansing themselves at will.

Did I leave any out?

They also have the stunning ability to have doors fall on them, crushing every bone in their body.

They are able to grant themselves painful electrical shocks, while standing next to doors.

Painful? Usually they tingle slightly. Never received shock damage from a door as of yet...

Chalk that up to your fondness for PC's with PV's. Try a gray elf every once in a while. You'll be lucky if it doesn't kill them : ) It's not really that bad, I keed.

One more, then I'll stop. Really.

They are able to instantly become blind, stunned, and deaf while standing next to doors.

They also have the uncanny ability to blind themselves.

And, if they're your friend, they can glare at your other friends when caught in their explosions/spells/screw-ups.

Or they can squeak at you in a friendly manner.

't'...
The Wand of Do Nothing misses the kestral. Come on, it's a Wand of Do Nothing!

And they can also decide to fight to the death in a blind rage and slaughter themselves, and look more powerful afterwards.
Come to think of it, that reminds me a lot of Obi-Wan talking to Darth Vader in star wars IV about how he becomes much more powerful after his death...

Taz: A potion of gain attributes (4s) is lying here. Suddenly a stone block hits your head! Something on the ground is smashed to pieces!
PeanutGod: Awwww no! How harsh is that! This is where you need the artefact 'mop and bucket'.
